This website is a work-in-progress. I would like to build a site that will keep others informed of activities in the state legislature and my efforts on your behalf. Given the pressing legislative agenda during the session, however, I offer my apologies for the site’s incompleteness at this time.
I am a lawyer, an environmental activist, and an advocate for the underrepresented and disadvantaged. Since the election of 2006, I am also a legislator serving in the Maine House of Representatives and representing District 118, the West End and parts of the Libbytown and Oakdale neighborhoods in Portland.
As a member of the Utilities and Energy Committee, I work to move the state forward in improving energy efficiency and developing clean renewable power, while also protecting the rights and interests of ratepayers and utility consumers.
In public life, my objective is to work to advance the interests of justice, freedom, fairness and equality as well as economic opportunity, quality education, and a clean and healthy environment for all.
Cold days and nights are not far from Mainers’ minds this winter as we face some of the worst home heating costs ever.
